[And that's how Zack was able to snag another date with the cute redhead. He's more than that, though. He's cute, smart, charming as hell. What's there not to like? He absolutely wants to get to know G'raha better. And well... more than that.
He'll show up on the dot as promised. More than likely with a motorcycle (because this is some nebulous mix between ff7 and ff14-) for the ride. It's a nice, clear, windless evening for it. So, why not? Zack will park the bike but stay leaning on it for now.
[ G'raha had managed to keep himself relatively busy until the evening, but not wholly distracted. Spending hours pouring over text is something he usually enjoys, but he couldn't help himself from checking the clock every so often, watching the minute hand go by and then finally the hour hand catch up.
Even so, he all but jumps when his tomestone goes off. ]
I shall be right out!
[ He's quick to make his way outside, all smiles as he descends the steps. Though his footsteps slow as he takes in the whole scene--Zack and his bike. He looks good on it, criminally good. ]
I--...hope I didn't keep you waiting.
[ G'raha knows he didn't. He rubs the back of his neck as he walks over. ]
[In this warm summer weather, a sleeveless black tank is a godsend. And well, it's great for showing off the guns to a certain someone, too. Zack perks up with a smile as soon as G'raha steps out and he gives a happy and casual wave.]
Hey there! Nah, I wasn't waiting long. Good to see you again.
[Really, if Zack had a dog tail it would be wagging... He turns to the bike and gives it a pat.]
And sure is. I thought it would be easier for us to get around with it. I hope that's fine with you?
[He grins warmly. Zack is glad to hear the compliment. Hearing them from a guy like G'raha is the icing on the cake. There's a big part of him that wants to impress the other. He might not be as smart as G'raha but Zack's got spirit. So, every bit helps.]
I'm not an expert but I've tinkered with bikes for a while. Riding them is no problem.
[He pats the seat.]
Luckily, it's a nice enough day that I don't think we'll need helmets. That and I haven't invested in a helmet that will accommodate the ears [The cat ears.] just yet.
[But he would absolutely get G'raha his own helmet if this goes places... Which he hopes it does.]
[ He says readily. G'raha is definitely impressed already, though Zack likely could have walked and he would have been enamoured either way. He is not a man above biases...and he really just feels lucky to have Zack's attention at all. ]
I would say if you're able to work on them is plenty of experience in and of itself.
[ Let alone being able to ride. He eyes the seat. The singular seat. Will they be sharing it? ]
"Just yet"?
[ The implications therein aren't lost on G'raha. He tries to simper his smile a bit as he glances away for a moment, though the way his tail excitedly swishes behind him says enough. ]
Well...it would be remiss of me not to offer Gil of my own.
[ Saying, insomuch, as he believes it is worth the investment.
[Zack can't stop the smile on his lips. That seems to happen a lot around G'raha so he just goes with it.]
Just yet. But don't worry, we can figure out the details later.
[He would be more than happy to fully invest in a helmet for G'raha to keep. G'raha doesn't need to spend the gil on it himself but he appreciates the offer to make it a two-way effort. He's glad G'raha is considering the helmet to be worth it.
Now, Zack will get back on the bike seat, one leg swinging over the bike as he sits on it comfortably. He then pats the spot on the seat behind him because they're indeed going to share the seat! Get cozy!]
Here, hop on. You can hang onto me. I promise I'm fully licensed.
[ G'raha had an inkling of how this might go, but it doesn't stop the way his stomach leaps when Zack indicates he should ride behind. Silly given that Zack has seen all of him at this point, but it's a giddy feeling nonetheless. ]
I would believe nothing less.
[ Trying not to sound to excited, G'raha finds that he can't exactly mimic Zack's fluidity in mounting the bike, mostly because his legs just...aren't long enough. But he still manages to hop on the seat and settle right up behind the other man. Like right behind. There's only a moment's pause before he wraps his arms around Zack's firm waist. ]
[There we go. Zack smiles once G'raha is settled and he's hanging onto Zack's waist. It's nice to have the other snugged up close. Mostly for safety reasons because he wouldn't want G'raha to fall clear off the bike or anything. But him hanging on is a nice bonus.]
Yeah, you got it. Easy. Just make sure you hang on tight.
Ready?
[He revs the bike to life. It rumbles as he gives it a few kicks of ignition before Zack kicks them off and off they go!! Zipping down the road at a leisurely pace. The wind resistance is pretty easy today. Another bonus for it being such a nice afternoon outside.]
[ Oh he's ready in some ways, but the combination of the rumbling of the motorcycle underneath him and Zack in front of him is more tantalizing that he had imagined. G'raha lets out an excited "whoop" as the bike goes off, clinging tighter, before laughing heartily into the other man's shoulder.
This is fun in and of itself. Even if they aren't going particularly fast, G'raha can feel his heart beat as if they were going one-hundred malms an hour. ]
I can see how this would be come quite addicting after long.
[Zack laughs, his laugh rumbling through his chest.]
Yeah, once you get a taste for riding a bike, it's hard to go back.
[He's very happy that G'raha finds it thrilling, and just for that he'll pick up their speed. Zipping down the road quick and fast, the wind in their hair, the sun on their skin!!]
But I'm sure you've ridden something way more exhilarating than a motorcycle. You seem like the type that actually likes dangerous joyrides, under it all. Am I right?
[He's taking them to a local burger and taco fusion joint where they can grab a bite to eat. Because why not both??]
[ Oh G'rah can feel that laugh and it's lovely. He can get used to this.
The increase in speed is appreciated. Despite his proclivity for being stuck in a library so often, G'raha enjoys a good adventure. His ears flatten against his head in response to the wind, but he is all smiles as he holds on tight to Zack. (All the more reason to now...for safety, obviously.) ]
Ah...mayhaps a bit.
[ He admits, allowing himself a moment to close his eyes and just feel. ]
I have handled a few precarious mounts before--one being a particularly ornery chocobo--but the company is certainly what elevates the experience.
[Yep, just keep holding on to him for purely safety reasons. Although, Zack can't help smirking a little when G'raha holds on tight. He doesn't mind those arms around him.
The wind is perfect. The breeze puts air in his lungs and Zack also enjoys how it makes him feel. Easy, lighthearted. Good.]
I've had my fair share of rides on unruly chocobos before, too. I remember the one time a fussy bird didn't like how I was sitting and bucked me right off into the mud. [He snorts another short laugh.] I prefer the Gongaga type of chocobo breeds, now. More flighty, but nicer tempers.
Nothing beats a nice motorcycle ride, though. Especially with a good riding partner.
[ Good, definitely good. G'raha's own heart is racing a bit and only part of it is due to the novelty of getting to ride on the motorcycle itself.
The image of Zack, despite his clear prowess with handling a mount like this, getting thrown off the back of a feisty chocobo is hard not to grin at. G'raha chuckles, his own grip tightening a bit just for a moment as he laughs. ]
I haven't yet had the chance of riding a Gongaga chocobo myself, though I imagine your bike argues far less?
[ Don't mind as he rests his cheek on the back of Zack's shoulder. Definitely...not for safety reasons. ]
...Well, I am glad to have proven myself agreeable so quickly.
[He likes the sound of G'raha's soft and amused laugh. Makes him feel good and makes him grin warmly in return. He wouldn't mind hearing more of that.]
A lot less. But if you get a chance to see those chocobos for yourself, I'd suggest you give it a try. Careful, though. They do like to jump pretty high.
[He might just offer to take G'raha that way someday. If things go well. Speaking of, they're taking the scene route towards the place to eat. A nice scenic way full of fresh summer trees and easy breeze.
He might be stalling a little. Just because he likes how G'raha leans on him.]

[ And hopefully in that time avoid explaining to Krile why he is slipping out two nights in a row with the same man...
Well, they're hardly being secretive, but G'raha is excited to see where this leads. ]

He offers a budding smile, his own tail doing a happy little swish behind him. ]
Good to see you as well.
[ G'raha does take a moment to tear his eyes away from Zack to admire the motorbike. He hasn't gotten to ride many before, but... ]
It suits you.
[ That's a compliment! ]
Oh--yes! Yes, of course. I admit my experience with them is...limited at best, though I am keen to learn.
[ Or just have it as an excuse to pick Zack's brain a bit. ]
