[ Eliot could have probably served him tar on a platter and G'raha would have a good time. There are very few things he hasn't eaten even when it isn't to his taste, but it is certainly better when it is objectively delicious.
He happily drinks more of the tea before starting to try different combinations of the foods together, shoving some of the potatoes and the meat on the fork at the same time. Oh yes that is good as well. Unsurprisingly!
Eliot's commentary does get a little chuckle out of him, and his response is maybe a bit rude with him chewing the last parts of his bite. ]

It does feel as if we're been burning our candles at both ends of late. Some respite is long overdue.

[ Eliot is one hundred percent one of those people who don't want people in his kitchen—Hardison calls him a control freak, and you know what, he's not far off—but it's different if he's teaching them, helping them out. And maybe he's got it up on some kind of pedestal for the way it helped save his life, but seeing as how he helped save his life he thinks he's got an appropriate level of reverence towards it. ]

Eliot's a massive snob when it comes to cooking and ingredients but a lot of that is based on what he expects from himself and from him meeting people where they're at. If they're head chef at some Michelin star then he's got high expectations. If they're some mother feeding their family of five then he'd be a bit of a dick to be expecting French truffles in the pasta.
And most importantly, G'raha clearly just enjoys food and learning new things. That's pretty much the perfect combination to be working with Eliot. ]
Besides, everyone's gotta start somewhere, right? And it's not like we're swimming in fresh produce out here. But if you wanna learn then we can do that, no problem.
[ If only he could have had Eliot back on the First! Lyna would have suffered less of his attempts to provide "home cooked meals" for his adopted daughter. Thankfully the rest of the Crystarium made up for his lack of skill, but there is something to being the one to create, to provide.
